About Us
Hi Coastal Wanderers

My name is Anna.
I am a mum to four amazing boys, Riley, Jonah, Asher and Banjo and to our beautiful heavenly daughter, Willow, and a wife to my incredible husband Tim.

I grew up on the sunny Northern Beaches of New South Wales, Australia, where my childhood was spent at the beach. I was always swimming, paddling in the waves or wandering the shoreline collecting seashells, shark eggs, driftwood, seaweed and all sorts of coastal treasures.

Our family holidays were always spent somewhere by the coast, so there were even more days filled with collecting shells, sunkissed skin, the smell of sunscreen, splashing in the water and exploring new beaches. We travelled to Vanuatu many times as a family, and I was completely captivated by its tropical beauty. The swaying palm trees, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear water, enormous shells and starfish felt like something out of a dream. From that moment on, I fell in love with everything tropical, and that love has stayed with me ever since.

When I started The Saltwater Collective, I knew I wanted to weave that love of the ocean into everything I created. I began by curating beautiful, natural toys that reflected everything I loved about the islands. I was drawn to bamboo, wood and earthy materials that felt calm, timeless and connected to nature. Pieces that reminded me of wandering through markets in places like Vanuatu and Fiji. My hope was to create a collection that felt like bringing a little piece of a tropical island into your home.

While I absolutely loved curating beautiful wooden and bamboo toys, something was missing. I wanted children to do more than simply play—I wanted them to create, imagine, explore and connect with nature in a hands-on way. That’s when Saltwater Potions was born.

My own boys have always been naturally drawn to water play, sensory play and making potions, so adding this to The Saltwater Collective felt like the missing piece. It wasn’t just something I wanted to sell, it was something we genuinely loved doing together. Watching their imaginations come to life through messy, open-ended play inspired me to create products that would help other families enjoy those same moments.

My boys have been part of the journey from the very beginning. They helped create some of the potions you’ll find in the store, choosing colour combinations that reminded them of the sea and dreaming up names inspired by their own love of the ocean. Many of the products and names have been shaped by their ideas, curiosity and love of ocean adventures, which makes them even more special to me.

I knew that potion making was something truly special. Watching my boys add their fizz, sprinkle in their magical ingredients and create their own little experiments was pure joy. Seeing their faces light up as the bubbles came to life, colours transformed and the shimmer sparkled was something I never got tired of watching. It quickly became their favourite thing to do, and I knew I wanted to share that same sense of wonder with other families.

Every time I receive an order from another mum just like me, choosing fizz, magical ingredients, coastal toys and sensory play treasures for their children, it makes my heart sing. I imagine the excitement as their little ones open their parcels and begin creating their own adventures. Knowing that children all over the country are experiencing the same joy, curiosity and wonder that my own boys experience at home is the most rewarding part of this journey.

My greatest hope is that The Saltwater Collective becomes a small part of your family’s special moments—the afternoons spent creating, the little hands covered in shimmer, the excited faces as new discoveries are made and the memories that will be treasured for years to come.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children’s adventures and for welcoming a little piece of our coastal-inspired world into your home.
